Private and off-market sales
Some sellers would rather the street never knew. A private sale is offered to a short, qualified list and handled in confidence.
A private sale means the house is shown only to buyers we have spoken to and whose agents we know. No sign, no public photographs, no open house. Showings are scheduled and attended.
The trade-off is reach. A public launch puts the home in front of every buyer at once, which can matter for price. We will tell you plainly which route we think suits your house and why, and you decide.
For buyers, our off-market list is how you hear about these homes. Request access and tell us what you are looking for; we only call when something fits.
What is included
- A written plan for a private or quiet launch
- A vetted buyer list kept up to date by the team
- Showings by appointment, always attended
- Confidential marketing material shared by request
- A clear point at which to go public, if you choose
Questions we are asked
Is an off-market sale legal in Washington?
Yes, with your written instruction. Rules on marketing and broker cooperation apply, and we walk you through them before you sign anything.
How do buyers get on your private list?
By a conversation with one of us. We ask about timing, financing and what they are looking for before we share any home.
Will a private sale get the best price?
Sometimes. Sometimes not. We compare both routes for your house at the first meeting and put it in writing.
If you are thinking about selling, or would rather hear about a home before it reaches the market, request a private conversation. One of the partners will call you, and nothing goes further than the three of us.
Or call (206) 555-0141. If we miss you, the desk texts you back within a minute so you are not left wondering.
Sorry we missed your call. This is Linden & Shore. Reply with a good time and Maren or Theo will call you back today.
